"EKITANGAALA"
A Glass art exhibition by Ekilawuli glass studio with a common life initiative approach for creatives in Kyebando. Sourcing value from recycling and upcycling glass waste, the artists step into dialog about their lived experience in shared spaces characteristic of life in the slum.
Collective conversations on public health, climate change, gender stereotypes and visions of transitioning from the unsatisfactory environment to shining a light on the potentials of underdog humanities distinctively working with what is available to them (glass waste) to elevate their lives.
